Green Manufacturing 2010

Date:
16-17, September 2010
Pullman Hotel, Kingpower Complex
Bangkok
Location:
Bangkok, Thailand

Green and sustainability present both a threat and opportunity to industries in general and manufacturers in particular. Energy efficiency is a necessary step for manufacturers, but alone it is not sufficient. To be successful and emerge as winners in the carbon economy, companies need to take a value chain model-based approach and continuously broaden and deepen that model to drive global and local optimizations in order to maintain and increase competitive advantage. Recent volatility in the price of fossil fuels and global awareness about the finite nature of our resources is creating the need for a more sustainable way of how we produce and use. Green manufacturing itself is not new. The concept has been around for a couple of decades, but has never received much attention from manufacturers except for participation in seminars and scoring well in polls and surveys. However, recent trends show that with the heightened focus on climate change, a transformation of mindset is happening and so positive action is now finally imminent.

This conference aim to lead the transition to sustainable and green with profitable manufacturing and offers the latest tools & strategies in green processes.. This conference also offers business executives of all levels practical advice and benchmarks for their own green initiatives and the opportunity to understand the future direction in green and sustainable manufacturing.
